About the Author

Isabella Harrison spent more than 45 years in nursing, medicine, and healthcare leadership. She knows the 2 am hush of a ward, the weight of a handover, and the quiet grief of laying the stethoscope down for the last time. When her own retirement came, she found that the hardest part wasn’t the rest. It was working out who she was without the uniform.
That experience gave rise to the Christian Devotional Series for Retiring Professionals. It offers honest, Scripture-rooted company to women and men facing the identity shifts that come at the end of a working life. Isabella writes from Cape Town, South Africa, and is published by Sage & Sunbird Press.
